  • Amitraz Solution Product Description

This product is made of amitraz with appropriate emulsifier and solvent, etc. The content of amitraz (C19H23N3) should be 90.0% to 110.0% of the labeled amount.

    Main ingredient: Amitraz

Appearance: This product is a slightly yellow clear liquid.

Mechanism of Action: Amitraz works by inhibiting monoamine oxidase, an enzyme involved in the metabolism of neurotransmitters in the nervous system of parasites. This action causes overexcitation in blood-sucking arthropods, and causes partial disorder of the mouthparts, resulting in the mouthparts being unable to be completely pulled out of the animal’s skin or falling off after being pulled out.

Function and Effects: This product has a slow insecticidal effect. Generally, it takes 24 hours for lice and ticks to fall off the body surface, and 48 hours for mites to fall off the affected skin. A single application can maintain the efficacy for 6 to 8 weeks, protecting the livestock from external parasites.

Uses and Applications: It is effective against various external parasites like mites, ticks, flies, lice, etc., in both pets and livestock (cattle/sheep/goats/pigs/rabbits).

Usage and Dosage: Calculated as amitraz. Bath, spray, or rub: Prepare a 0.025% to 0.05% solution.
