Base

p-Xylene is an important organic chemical raw material, mainly used to produce terephthalic acid (PTA), dimethyl terephthalate (DMT), and ethylene glycol terephthalate (PET), which in turn produce polyethylene terephthalate (polyester). It can also be used as a solvent and as a raw material in the pharmaceutical, fragrance, and ink industries.
